Please disregard.I was trying to find my post from the other day,but can't find zilch.I had it bookmarked, but now the link doesn't work....and the My Account doesn't log your posts. :(
Anyway, the answers that I am seeking is whether there is a "Grace Period" for signing up for Part B when I arrive homes. It appears that I MUST enroll during the January 1 to March 31 unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period, but just like everything else government related,it isn't cut and dried. So that part of the question is unresolved.A person returning to the US does have 2months to select a Part D however.
Then there is the question about how your monthly premium for Part B is calculated.I think I read that the monthly payment premium is based on your income 2 years back. That means if I enroll in 2017,may premium is based on my income from 2015..I hope that is correct.
Very frustrating.
This Medicare link might help you with your question. https://www.medicare.gov/Pubs/pdf/11037.pdf
