She has a military photo ID that expired in 2008 and she never had a California ID or driver license. She needs this to access funds in her accounts. Thanks.

I'm surprised the MA registry did that for you... My Mom got a MA ID about 10 yrs ago so she could get on a plane...But they don't require her to renew it..

I would think you would have to be there to get an up-to-date picture..

This question serves as good advice to many to make sure you get an official ID asap, just in case your parent can't get there in the future...

I had the same problem with my wife regarding a handicap hanger for parking in handicapped zones. It was very hard, but a social worker we had finally convinced the MA auto registry to use a picture I had taken at home. Strangely enough, in order to get a handicap hanger, one has to be able to get and walk to the registry.
