Have confidence in yourself, and if the client starts to push your buttons, remember that to him or her this might be a turf war and a chance to establish who's boss.

Sure, I'd say so. Depending upon your age and personality. Handling a difficult patient isn't much different than managing a child or difficult, but valuable, employee. Find the path to successful manipulation, and you're good to go.
