I'm caring for my elderly parents. They have many doctor appointments. My husband and I have been taking them to their appointments as much as we can. However we now need assistance for them - only with transportation though. Looking for suggestions for reliable door to door transportation.

Check out onegenerationdotorg to see if they might be able to help. There are a number of transportation options for seniors depending on where one lives. Good luck.

I remember one year my parents had around 40 appointments, most were follow-ups. That's a lot of sitting in waiting rooms and filling out a lot of paperwork. I realized that not all of those appointment were really that necessary, thus I started to stretch out the appointments so we weren't going monthly or every two months to the variety of specialist my 90+ year old parents were seeing.

Plus for their primary doctor, I got back to back appointments to help limit the many trips there.

The big thing here, will your parents ride with someone other then you? My parents wouldn't, thus the search for different transportation was a waste of my time.... [sigh]
