I am currently taking care of my parents 87 and 92. Both are in power chairs. Mom has dementia and is starting to get to the stage she needs complete care. I have caregiver burnout. I do have someone who comes in 4.5 hrs 5 days a week, but the rest of the time it's up to me (we also have 22 acres of land I have to take care of) . My dad is a veteran but we don't qualify for their free help. Does anyone have an idea where I could find someone who could work flexible hours, such as 2 weekends a month so I can get away. Obviously I am not able to detail everything b/c I'd be here all day! But if anyone has a suggestion I would appreciate it. AHHHH :(

Can you not find help through an agency? Generally they will provide someone for whatever time frame you can afford to hire them for. You might also look into respite care in a facility, it is an expensive option but would enable you to detach completely from your caregiving responsibility periodically.
