My mother has severe arthritis and cannot get up and down stairs without help anymore. Is there any agency in Pennsylvania that can help with costs in having a stair lift installed ? Thank you, Jim B.

Call the building inspector in her municipality. Often they have information on who can help.

Jim, before getting a stair lift, find some place where Mom can test drive a lift to see if she will like it.   I would hate to have you go through all the work of looking for funds, having it installed, and Mom not want to use it because she is afraid.   I know my Mom would never even try one.

If Mom is happy trying one out, then check with your local Agency on Aging and see if they happen to know how to get funds or help with purchasing a stair lift.
