If you are talking about getting paid to care for your dad there are ways that that can be done.
One of the first things to check is...Is your dad a Veteran? If so the VA has programs that will provide caregivers and you can be paid to care for him. Contact your local Veterans Assistance Commission and see if he qualifies for any services.
You can also contact your local Senior Center. They often have Social Workers that have information on programs that might help as well.

Debr1223, the vast majority of grown children who caregive for their parent do not get paid.... unless your father can pay you from his own savings. If he can do that, you would need to prepare an employment agreement that states what are your duties, what hours you work, what days you have off, the hourly rate, and who will prepare the payroll taxes.

Another way is if your father can qualify for Medicaid [which is different from Medicare]. Each State runs their own Medicaid, have their own rules and programs. Don't be surprised if the State can pay you that the pay may be minimum wage for a few hours per week. Please note its the taxpayers who fund this program.
