I'm not sure I understand the question, but if your sister is going to do the caregiving for pay, be sure to have a written agreement spelling out what she does and what she is paid. Consulting an Elder Law attorney might be a good idea. Have all taxes and withholding set up properly.

Very kind of her but there are other ways and she has to save for her own elderly years. What if dad had a stroke tomorrow and needed nursing home care? That can be upwards of $12,000.00 a month in my area, lower in some other areas, higher other places.
