My Father has been diagnosed with dementia and needs care and he does not have much money. Any advice?

He has medicaid and we would like him to come to Austin where we can help oversee his care. Do you have any suggestions of where to go?

Call the senior services n your area or similar organization or just look around on line for facilities in that area that accept medicaid.

Reminder - if he is on Medicaid in different state than you live in, he will have to re-qualify for Medicaid in the new state.

If he's a veteran, there are several different options for financial aid available through the VA. It's a long, time-consuming process, but worth it.
