Some doctors will make house calls. Check with the state agency in your area for assistance.

You can learn a lot about Alz and dementia from this site as well as from the ALZdotorg site. Understanding where your Dad is, will truly help you to treat him well. His reality is different from what you see so some of his behavior and conversation will seem bizarre. (My Mom , a city gal who never drove, outlined in detail the new car she had just purchased and the trip to California she would be taking with her friends!) I got excited fro her, after all it is a BIG trip from the east coast! You will learn to 'go with the flow'. Unless your Dad is violent or wandering, I don't see a need for you to call anyone. But, you should be considering next steps. Whether they are for next season or next year, you will find yourself like others on this site. You will need more help in the form of caregivers, aides, companions etc.
Do a computer search for physicians who make house calls in your area. No need to tell dad in advance, it will only make him anxious. Before the appointment, make a list of behaviors and hand it to the MD upon arrival. Alos, have your Dad's medical history ready --- lists of medicines etc. good luck

Your profile says he has Alzheimers/Dementia. Has he been diagnosed with this yet or is your suspicion? Is this why you are trying to get him to the doctor? Do you need this diagnosis right now for insurance/aid reasons?
