Does enterococcus have anything to do with feces?

Pseudomonas aeruginosa/Enterococcus on diabetic foot sore with maceration. Several antibiotics tried since February 14 with no help, dermatologist switched him to Augmentin. Anyone familiar with this area?

Bella, from my reading pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of those germs that are everywhere, but enterococcus is indeed a gut bacteria. Both are difficult to treat.
