Moving from our apartment into the house. Please, let me know if we are eligible for some assistance for moving from our apartment into the house. I am 65 years old and diabetic and my husband is 78 years old with physical disabilities. We live in Ada County Idaho.

From your apartment to an assisted living or NH? Or an apartment to a free standing single family home? In my experience there is no financial help but maybe community resources that volunteer to do this for seniors.

The best way to find out if you're eligible, would be to contact S.S, and Medicare or Medicaid. Depending on who you have.

? Do you mean that you and your husband have left your own home (the apartment) and moved into somebody else's home (the house) to provide care for that person?

I'm sure KayKay is right about whom to approach to ask about financial assistance. What sort of thing will you need help with? - the move itself, or continuing support afterwards?

drmbd627, what type of assistance are you asking about? Financial assistance or caregiving assistance? Or are you asking if there is any funding to help pay for the move itself?
