Sister won't take her to the doctor and said it is probably a UTI and is calling for a virtual CVS visit tomorrow to get antibiotics. Mom is early 90s and has dementia. Can i call EMS from another state to have them take her to the hospital for checkup of this
It is said by many on Forum that we owe our OPs sympathy and understanding and that we should not disagree with or question them. I disagree completely.
I am so glad that Vince wrote us, not because it can help him at all--but because it can TEACH us to question what we are reading and to try to read between the lines. Most OPs don't even fill in their profiles. What do we know about them and their side. I won't ultimately JUDGE it (in most cases) but I WILL question it.

I think it would be extremely irresponsible for a nurse practitioner (which is generally who staffs these clinics) to prescribe an antibiotic for a 9O year-old but it is legal.
