this person is unable to stay up even if their eating. because of the sleeping he dosen't get to finsh eatin. he sleepa all night get up at 11:00 am and in 10min gose back to sleep right back till 11:00 pm but jus last week he was fine . help!
Your profiles says you are caring for someone with cancer. Could you elaborate on the age of the person, extent of cancer, etc. Have you spoken with the doctor? A little more information would be helpful.
As I understand it, sleeping all day and not eating much can be a sign that the body is shutting down. Do you think that this person might be in end stage cancer?
Another possibility is an acute illness.
I think a doctor should be informed of the new symptoms, and the person should be seen. If the doctor finds it appropriate, a referral to hospice services may be very helpful.
I'm sorry for your distress. It's really hard to see someone not be able to eat.
