Find Care & Housing
Maybe you could coach your dad if his approach seems too harsh. He does it because he loves her, but it comes across as nagging to her. Few people like the reminders that they may not be as "sharp" as they once were. Is there a way you could talk your dad into trying an alarm type reminder for your mom? That could help with this sticky issue.

My Mom has a container with sections for each day of the week and sets up her meds ahead-she is 91 and does well -I sometimes forget to take mine what I do is mark the bottles with a red line for days and blavk for dinner time and turn over the morning meds after I take them and the same for dinner meds and when I go away I mark on a piece of paper the day of the week and morning and night and check when I have takes them -as Carol said it is probably to way he reminds her that gets her upset esp. if she is starting to have memory problems.
