The doctors took my mom off Haldol and out her on Zypreza. Does anyone know about this drug?

I have an interest in this as my dad was given Haldol - an atypical antipsychotic - after brain surgery and it made him horribly paranoid. The whole thing was a disaster.
Zyprexa is often used for bi-polar disorders. So there may be some reasoning behind this change for your mom. If dementia is the issue, I'm not so sure what is going on. You may want a second opinion if your mom can't give useful feedback. It never hurts.
