My mother has ten year old hearing aids. She has a severe hearing loss. The aids she is currently using are not very effective. Will Medicaid pay for new hearing aids? The ones she currently has came from the VA.

VA hearing aids aren't fancy, but they are decent. The VA will replace them every 3 years. I sounds like she needs to go in for an appointment.

Yes (at least in my state) Medicaid covers non-fancy hearing aids. But why not go back to the VA for them?

I will check but the hospital is far and waits are long and it might be too exhausting for her.
