Looking for a referral for a non emergency medical transport company. I need to get my brother moved to another nursing home in another state. I have quotes from a couple of companies so just looking for referrals from people who have used this type of service.

I have spoken to ACC Medlink.

My brother is in Indiana and has no one there he is on his last leg fighting copd, Chf, diabetes and has a high carbon dioxide in his blood. Anyone know how I can get him from marion indiana to Reno Nv to get him in a hospital here where we can monitor his care? We are having no luck and don't want him to pass. We want to get him in a good rehab in nv. I believe he only has state medical and won't get his Medicare till August. Plus he is in a wheel chair and can't walk.

kathy8185 and Fallon1600: you will both need to contact medical transport companies for each of your LO's states. It is very possible your LOs are not candidates for transport if their health would be impacted by the rigors of travel (it is a safety and a liability issue).

I would contact social services for each of the counties they are in to get guidance on options. Talk to a social worker. Every state will be different.

Also if your LOs are competent they can make their own decisions about who cares for them and where.

Fallon1600: if your brother is on his last leg he may be a candidate for hospice care. He (or you) will need to get his doctor's guidance on this option.
