Get her tested by her doctor. If she has a UTI then antibiotics can clear it up. UTIs are a chronic problem in the elderly. I've helped minimize them for my MIL by giving her a maintenance supplement called D-Mannose, a simple sugar. This can be found on amazon.com. I use SuperiorLabs, 500mg and follow dosage suggestion on bottle. Since starting her on this she has not had a single UTI and she was having 1 a month. The facility had her drinking copious amounts of water and cranberry juice, to no avail. I'm normally not a proponent of supplements for reasons I won't get into here, but there was no downside to trying this since there is no known side effects to it. I supply her LTC with it and they dispense it to her. I'm frankly astonished at how well it works.
