thank you for your comments... My beloved Father went to heaven July 25th. We were able to keep him home and comfortable. I will miss him for the rest of my life but I am thankful he is NOT suffering!

Any kind of cancer is difficult. My heart goes out to you. Don't give up just because he's on Hospice. This may end up being the best time you have with him because Hospice can provide medication to control his pain. Bone cancer can be very painful. If he's able to speak reminisce, go through a picture album, tell him of your regrets and joys, let him know you appreciate him as a father, tell him something he did for you as a child or adult and how much it meant to you. Spend as much time as you can with him. All these things will make both of you feel better. Don't hide what he already knows. If he is willing to discuss his condition, please listen.

Hi, I am so sorry about your dad.At this point I don't think there is any thing you can do.Just love him and keep his pain down as much as you can.
My mother had Metastie Bone Cancer. That means that the cancer came from another cancer in his body. When it sprends into the bones there is little that can be done.
So sorry that you have to go through this.I hope you have some help to care for him.I kelp mother at her home and i slept on the floor beside her bed for 19 days when she died.Good luck. And may God be with you.
