Does anyone have any tips on how to apply for SSI? We are hanging on by a thread, have blown through our savings, retirement and Certificates of Deposit mostly due to hubby’s medical expenses. We don’t qualify for Medicaid. Thanks for your advice.

Hugemom, did you ever look into the Miller Trust aka Qualifying Income Trust to get your husband qualified for Medicaid assistance?
I found some info online for Ohio medicaid offices that talks about how QIT's work, what company and their contact info that Ohio brought on board to help set QIT up, etc. Is the SSI for you to supplement your social security or disability? Is it to supplement your husband's social security or disability?
