Does a Florida Nurse Practitioner have the authority to sign a DNRO?

I am Florida Health Care Surrogate legally designated by a Florida patient in a Designation of Health Care Surrogate document. In accordance with the patient's living will and other end-of-life documents, I have completed the Florida DNRO form 1896. The patient's pcp is an ANPR. Does an ANPR have the legal authority to sign a DNRO or must I get an MD or other (who would not be current on the patient's condition and wishes) to sign the DNRO document? Thank you.

Take it in for signature. The Nurse Practioner will know what they can legally sign.

If "legally designated" means you were appointed by a Judge, you bring the court order to the pcp, along with the other end of life documents and discuss them. Getting the signature should not be difficult.
