I have no idea. However, I would imagine it would depend on the nature of the disability, i.e., whether the disability is likely to shorten life span, since many disabling conditions do not effect longevity. Life insurance, unlike health insurance, is only concerned with how long a person lives, not the quality of the person's life.

Life insurance can be purchased for a disabled person without a medical exam. The policy I am familiar with require only that a person be under 80 years old and that they live for a minimum of 2 years from the date the policy becomes effective. Usually the death benefit is somewhat limited - $10 to 15K and if the insured dies before 2 years 125% of the premiums paid are refunded. It's a pretty fair deal for a modest amount of insurance. Good luck.

Most insurance companies will not cover a pre-existing disability and limit coverage for the first two years. If you have had a heart attack/stroke/cancer/mental problems they will not cover you at all. Premiums will be high for risky patients.

Clarifying: I should have said "Usually the death benefit is somewhat limited - $10 to 15K and if the insured dies before 2 years THE DEATH BENEFIT IS NOT PAID AND 125% of the premiums paid are refunded."

Why don't you call or question a life insurance company? Asking never cost anything. You don't give us much to go on...what disability?
