They are different. Coconut oil has a saturated fat called lauric acid, a type of MCT. It's been shown in some studies that lauric acid increases the good HDL cholesterol in the blood to help improve cholesterol ratio levels. So, which one is the one for you? Depends on the results you are looking for.

Thank you, Carol. My wife is Vietnamese, has Alzheimer's, and is in a nursing home. She enjoys Coconut water a lot. I'm trying the different added flavors with her. So far, so good.
