My brother has always picked on me since we were kids.
Now that I am the soul caretaker he has been torchering me with false allegations and accusations, such as accusing me of stealing my own fathers jewelry, when n reality I was asked by the hospital staff to take it home so it will not be stolen. My brother is looking for stuff on me to build his case and threatens to sue me. My father and I agreed that because I am working almost full time to help him, he would help me with school. I don't have money for an attorney to defend myself and an so ANGRY and resentful that ii have the entire load, school and a child while my brother has no family and is foot loose and fancy free...yet he just criticizes and torchers me itch anything I do n regard to my fathers care. I just want out but there is no way out!

Jillsuglio Actions Speak Louder Than Words!!!!
If your Father is capable and willing get legal papers signed in front of a notary and a witness. You can get info on this site for what you need. Caregiver agreement #1 in writing even better a video recording of your father stating his wishes for you as his caregiver and make sure no details are left out. Power of Attorney is a necessary legally written paper(s) for financial and healthcare needs for now and future needs. If I were you start making logs of your daily duties (care) Dr appointments down to a band aid, meals, phone calls, food shopping etc. Make another for your fathers expenses, save bills, receipts, etc. Another for your brothers comments, excuses, verbal abuse, calls you make weather you get a voice mail or if he answers write down your conversations, your feeling his mood etc. Another log for your Dad's daily emotions, his feelings, how he treats you. I bet your brother's head will spin if a year from now you say... Well on April 20th 2013 you called me and said "you stole dad's jewelry!" "I asked you to help Dad to take Dad to a Dr. appointment your excuse was........" You should not tell your Brother or he will most likely curb his attitude or get worse. Keep in mind if you are doing what's in your Fathers benefit you are doing the right thing. No one can fight honesty and a good heart.
