I thought I could, because if it wasn't me, we'd have to hire someone and I know that's deductible. I've piled up a lot of miles back and forth to doctors with my Mom with Alzheimer's and the accountant thinks I can only deduct it if she's my dependent (she's not). What have other folks done?
