How do I deal with elderly Mom with dementia, delusions, and paranoia?

My parent are 89 years old and they both think that my husband and I are stealing form them. They are mean and rude when we try to help them. Dad does not remember being in ICU with pnemonia and think that my husband and me are paying the Doctor for sending him bills (I guess) says he will not pay them because he wasn't there. Tells us that we are trying to make him poor like he was during the great depression. I am an only child and he keeps telling me to go to hell whenever I try to help them. The more your help them the more they hate you. My Mother says that she does not remember him being there either. Am broken hearted.
