He improved and started gaining and eating but started trial cancer treatment. He needs more care than he gets at home. What options and financial help is available for care? Cannot drive and struggles to dress himself. In pain and suffering.

I would be helpful to know what country he is in, as resources and legal ability to help people vary widely by country.

Also, it is very important that he get as many calories as possible, no matter the source. This is what we learned through my FIL's pancreatic cancer journey...his oncologist was ok with him eating hot dogs and ice cream, and they gave him special candies to suck on in between that contained 700 calories each. Calories = fuel and in the case of cancer, as much fuel as possible is needed since they mostly lose weight during their treatments. Wishing him hope and peace.

This greatly depends upon what country, what state, what insurance, and etc. This is something to take up with your Dad's caregivers, and social worker support. Ask his doctor and call the local counsel on aging for some recommends.
