dad refuses to change from pjs into clothes so I told him we cant go outside.

how can I get him to understand that he cannot go out into the community unless he is dressed, its sad because he likes to keep active...

Hemlock, if your dad has dementia, there is no rational argument that is going to convince him.
Does he still enjoy a shower? Can you get his pj's away that way?
