My father recently had a fall, he has a breathing tube in and has limited arm movement and his grip is weak. We have been using yes/noquestions, but he is getting very frustrated and aggitated. I was wondering if you had any other suggestions that we could use for him to communicate w/ us

Find Care & Housing
I would suggest making a communiation board. Put on it words or easily recognizable pictures on it, such as tv, lights, on, off, hot cold, pain, and so on. Things that are common for every day-like going to the bathroom.
If your father is in a care facility, then you should request that the speech therapist come and evalute him. Speech therapists are there to help every patient be able to communicate as well as possible, and they have many great tools at their disposal. Sometimes the speech therapist works in several facilities and is not there every day, so be patient and persistent.
