I am 68 years old, lost my hearing in both ears 3 years ago due to treatment with certain kind of antibiotics. I had successful cochlear implant in one ear which restored sounds. It is not great but is better than nothing. Please tell me your questions, I think I have lot of information I can share you with

Did your parent receive an implant? My 89 year old mother is scheduled to have an cochlear implant at the end of October. I'm 90% comfortable with this.

Being able to hear and understand conversation at less than 80 db would be a HUGE boost to quality of life if it is not too risky. I woukld not let age be the sole deciding factor!
