What are the chances for my Mom if she's had two major strokes?

Some experts state that hearing is one of the last things to go for people who are in bad shape or are in the dying process. It's hard to know what she is processing but I know that hospice patients I volunteervwith seem to respond, if ever so slightly at times, to my storytelling. I have to think it must be soothing for her to hear your voice even if she doesn't understand much any longer.

I believe we all respond to love and I'm sure she can feel your presence, even if she's not able to express that with words. Her opening her eyes very wide would be a good enough sign to me that she knows you're there. Continue to love her and talk to her and comfort her. Hugs...

Touch, smell, and listening, she does. Wear a certain perfume that she may recognize, tell her you love her, and she is beautiful, and pure love....Tell her it's okay...You know who she is. You know how you love her. You know deep down, she knows who you are, soulfully, lovingly, forever.....

lots and lots of hugs. I kiss Mom on forehead and cheek. She knows..She smiles. Feeling someone close to you. Aunt would not let me go today. She just held on. I saw her last week. I am her only relative. Everyone else is on the other side of the country....I have two I am here for. They need us...don't think twice about that. Your mom needs you more now than ever before. She does not want to be alone.....be there for her. You know she knows you are here.
