My wife and I (a family of 2) make $24300.00 /annually from Social Security. I am curious if we might qualify for Medicaid. Can anyone tell me? The amount above is before Medicare deduction. Thank you.

Medicaid eligibility is based on income, assets, and medical need. Call your Area Agency on Aging for the general requirements in your state. And then keep in mind that there are some exceptions and ways to satisfy requirements that an Elder Law attorney could help you with. Also the amounts are quite different for a couple than for an individual.

cbeigle54, it would be best to call your State Medicaid office to see if you qualify. Each State has their own rules, regulations, and programs.
