I live in n.y. and my aunt is in luxor pa. My aunt joan d. is 88 years old, she keeps asking him to leave her nephew but he doesn't, she asks him to help her while he is living there, gives her no money, and eats most of her food. she does get food from private people who brings her a dish. her sister-in-law lives on the property and does nothing, it is her son who is doing this. the grass around the property is overwhelming, and he won't even cut it for her. again she ask him several times to leave, but has different excuses, i wish some authority can check this matter out. her names is joan d.

Tomorrow call 800-490-8505...that's The equivalent of Adult protective Services for your aunt's area. Here's the website: http://www.county.allegheny.pa.us/dhs/adult-protective-services.aspx

You can even remain anonymous. Your aunt has no one but you to protect her. Her family's actions are unconscionable.

Bear in mind that she could be delusional. Unless you have actually seen the son eat all her food, stay out of it.

Sounds like it is time for your Aunt to move into a senior apartment complex where she can dine in the common dining hall with others of her own group... and not have to worry about maintaining a single family home, grass and all [I assume that is her own home].
