My aunt is defiant against me and I've always been so good to her, but now won't do anything she is told and wets her bed everyday due to not wanting a diaper on. She won't let me touch her to help her. If I do she yells like I'm hurting her when I'm only touching her. I'm at a loss don't know what to do?

I feel your pain. I've been there, twice. I'm still kind of there. It doesn't surprise me even for a moment if either my mom or grandma doesn't have a diaper on. At least they are wearing them most of the time. Also the shredding has stopped. Before they both would disassemble the diapers when they got soiled making quite a mess. Now they both throw them away. They just never put on a fresh one.

For me, I never round a magical solution. I just kept at it until we are as good as where we are right now. It took grandma years to get here. Washable diapers may help. They are much more like regular underwear and thus they are more likely to keep them on. Also, make sure you get the right size. It seems that even the small sizes in the US are made for obese people. They are for people up to 40" in waist. That's far too big. If they are too big and thus uncomfortable, then they will be more likely to take them off. I found a brand that sells XS sizes which fit much better. My mom went from taking them off all the time with smalls to only rarely now with extra small. She always complained about how big and baggy the smalls are.

In in interim, you should look into waterproofing the bed. Check the incontinence forum for tips on that.

My Mom wears diapers that are like briefs. They look nice and feel good too. She puts an extra pad for leakage in to make changing easier. She didn't want to do this at first, but they are like wearing undies. The behavior thing can be remedied with a low carb ketogenic diet. Any carbs should be given in the a.m. 2 T of coconut oil in the a.m. also helps. A good multivitamin and nootropic help as well. Do hydration in the early part of the day to prevent bed wetting issues.

Be careful with coconut oil, some people are allergic and it creates more problems than it helps.

No diet or supplements should be instituted without the approval of the doctor, there could be drug interactions, diet restrictions or other factors that need to be considered.

Just my opinion

There are clothes that are difficult to get off, hopefully someone that has used them will be able to give you the information.

Hugs for all you do, this is my personal deal breaker so my heart really goes out to you. I hope you find something soon.
