My dad's will was never filed in the state he lived in, but an old one was filed in another state so my stepmother could receive his portion of proceeds from a sold family-owned property. I know he had a newer will, but hard to prove it. The same attorney that did my stepmother's will is probably the one who did it, if I ask him if he did, does he have to tell me?

amicable, when I made out my father's Will I made sure every penny went to his third wife. They were married 24 years. So amicable, if you were my sibling, you get zero, zip, nada, nothing.

Again, the provisions of the Will are made known AFTER the maker passes.

What is your underlying concern - that your stepmother might have inherited everything or nothing? More information might be helpful, but it won't change the confidentiality involved.

Problem is, if this atty did a will for my dad, it would supercede the old one which was the one filed. If this will was never filed...do I have no recourse or way to find out what his true intentions were?
