AL for meds. and AL costs for over $13,000. They were suppose to sent to me. AL says they will stop her from getting them. Of course Mom is ANGRY that her KIDS ARE WASTING THER MONEY. They said they would catch the bills and not deliver to her but so far they have dropped the ball both times. Mom threatens me with I will not eat or take pills.....what else can I do. Sunrise has said they don't know how the mistake happened. blamed the drug company, but even Sunrise bills are being sent to Mom. Talked to Sunrise several times they say they will take care of but so far they have not......

Mom ended up in ER a few days later because she had diarhea so bad and
she decided to stop eating because she keeps getting so raw. ER sent her back to Mental hospital again, were she has decided to eat like a bird.
Spiraling down hill even faster now. No magic pills to make her want to live this way. would have been nice if AL hadn't given her the $13,000 bills to her in AL.
If nobody believes you have stomach pain after 9 months I would be depressed too.

I agree if she doesnt take her pills or eat, tell her you will put her in the nursing home , where she will have to taake her pills and eat.

In an assisted living facility the mail is delivered and then given to each resident. Talk to staff and make sure no one is giving her bills from Sunrise. Threaten Sunrise to take her out of their facility. Calm her down and let her know how much you love her and what her to be taken care of regardless of how much it costs. You don't want her money as long as she is still living. Whatever you do tell her if she decides to not eat and take her pills, that is HER choice, one you do not agree with, but if she wants to starve herself, tell her it is a painful death...

I had to sign a form that allowed them to send bills to me instead of my dad. Yes both places flubbed it up the first time. It's amazes me how these places drop the ball. But I would go there personally if you are near and get it straightened out. Do you have POA? And if so the ALF should have a copy

Contact post office and have all mail forwarded to your home address. Ignore your mom's upset, if she has dementia. Logic is not part of the equation. I'm sorry you're having this issue; press on with the al and drug company to send bills directly to you. Incidentally ARE you kids paying for mom's mes s? Why?
