As opposed to routinely sending you to the ER at drop of hat? If so, what has been your experience? If you don't mind detailing, has it affected cost?

Paula Span did a piece on this in the Times in last few months. It was really eye opening read. Assisted living facilities do not want the liability nor regs which will come with.

And to clarify the real estate model comment, as marketed currently, this model more saleable to family and resident in that it does not look like a nursing home. But they are not regulated. Due to the horror series in the star Tribune in Minnesota, that state may be first to regulate.

The models will have to change.

There is also a frequent poster to Paula spans articles in Times who spells out the trip to Switzerland for end of life. Flight fare and 9k. If this is where we are as a society...i choose self eradication over choices the market is offering me.. We are in trouble.
