I just started using Medustry Commode Liners with included powder that converts urine to gel and manages solids. I was wondering if anyone else was using them. They work really well. I also use Eco-Gel for extra odor control for poop or to absorb any excess liquid. The amount of powder in each liner will turn about 2 liters of liquid to gel (I tested it before use with a 2 liter soda bottle of water). All turned to gel in less than a minute. Both of my parents use the commode so I needed something that would gel a reasonably large amount of fluid, especially overnight. This works great and even has a pleasant scent (some sort of lavender, and the Eco-Gel is lemon scented). Just wanted to share something that works.

I empty her commode daily. Mom freaks if she thinks I will forget and will say, “Hurry up and empty my commode or it will overflow.” Trust me, it is nowhere near overflowing when she says that to me.

Do you think these cut down on Odor due to the gel and lavender scent?

I wanted to burn a nice scented candle in mom’s room but she said the candle could get knocked over and cause a fire. She likes to think of the worst scenario. I may buy a plug-in thing.

The gel and lavender scent eliminate the urine odor. It doesn’t do as good of a job on feces, depending on how it lands. I used another gel product, Eco-Zone which is lemon-scented and just dumped it on top if necessary. I found it to be a clean and easy solution. The only trouble I had was that the bags were a bit heavy. Otherwise, great!

It would be helpful if you changed the title of your post to something like, "Medustry Commode Liners work great!" since what you've posted is actually a review.

Yes, you’re probably right. I was really wondering though if anyone had used them and had a bad experience or could offer any insight into their use. My dad doesn’t like the idea, says it makes the garbage can stink. So I guess it was part review and part asking what folks thought.

I have not used those liners. I order off of amazon. I have those paper things that absorbs the liquid. May try those to test it. Thanks.

I just looked them up on Amazon. Lavender scented. Nice!

I’ve tried the paper gel liners, but they only absorb a small amount of liquid. These absorb up to about 2 liters (I tested that). Both of my parents use the commode at night, so I needed something with a large capacity.
