Any suggestions for a life alert bracelet?

Anyone have any suggestions on a life alert bracelet that isn't $35 a month? My mom is on a fixed income and although she has had a life alert necklace for a couple of years, I think $35 a month for a life alert system is a little high. She is looking for something that is more lightweight and affordable.

Anything that offers a monitored call centre is going to charge at least that and probably more, however there are systems that are essentially just auto dialers that will call 911 or other selected numbers - amazon lists several medical alert systems
