Am researching real-time GPS trackers for use with elderly dementia patients. I'd like one that pings my smartphone if my mom goes outside of a designated area. Does anyone have and experience using trackers or recommendations for a good one?
In my Township the Police Department loans these out. They are hooked into their computer system. Androids were not big back when my GFs Father used one but they probably have where you can use ur phone too. Would be nice to have a police car check on her too.
Amazon has some- I used one for ‘Prime Tracking’. It’s rechargeable, about the size of a hide-a-key box. Cost was about $25/month but worth the peace of mind for me as my mom would go for walks while I was working. When she went to AL I called to cancel the gps service and they offered it for $10/month at that point, so there may be wiggle room.
