Is it common for an Alzheimer's patient in Memory Care to frequently ask "When can I go home?"

Very common. My grandmother wanted to go home--to the home she lived in at 10 with her parents and sister living with her. Redirect with love. Change subject. Therapeutic fibs. Take care of you too.

Mom's been asking for the past 3 yrs to go home....the home she lived in with her mamma and poppa. I tell her I know how bad she wants to go home but she can't today. Little white lies to keep her at peace.
