Greetings, I'd love to hear advice on this -- I manage my father's care from another state, though I visit frequently. What do you look for in this person and what do they actually do?
'Teresa Ann' advertises on this site very regularly. I would guess that they wouldn't have the ads if she wasn't reputable. Perhaps you could ask her what they actually do?
We have had a care manager in addition to daily care that comes in for 1/2 days. I work full time and am not available Monday - Friday. You can instruct the care manager to help with transportation to appointments and advice on how to handle situations. I use them many times for when professionals need to come to dad's house for assessments or additional services. I have found them very useful and best of all, they are additional eyes and ears on my dad.
