How does your advice effect the new 2014 laws that are coming enfect in Jan?

No change for me. Michael Hiltzik in the LA Times did a good article about new healthcare - he did the math and showed very few would be affected - the problem seems to be mainly people who had individual policies that were cheap but basically worthless in any real emergency.

I have a Blue Cross Medicare PPO and nothing will change except the usual annual fee increases.

So far, I see nothing bad with Mom's medicare, daughter's SSI or BIL's compensation case. I am retired with health care I co-pay for and it will continue. So far I have not seen anyone left in the lurch other than highly sensationalized media reports.
