I am thinking about selling my house. And I have Ohio Medicaid. Do you know what would happen to my medical benefits?

Thank You

You will need to reapply in the state where you are moving. Medicaid does not transfer from state to state. There may be a waiting period. Check with Medicaid office where you are moving.

Are you the person needing help or the friend trying to help? Third party questions are very hard to follow. Also, keeping to one thread helps.

As said, Medicaid does not move out of state. You would need to reapply and there maybe a waiting period. Selling your house may cause an income problem. You r allowed to keep it under Medicaid, but once sold you now have income.

You really need to contact ur caseworker at the Medicaid office. He/she should be able to answer your questions.
