82 year old mum is suddenly sleeping all the time. Any advice?

She has vascular dementia. But this is stable for now. But for a week now is constantly sleeping, has breathlessness, hardly eating or drinking. She goes from cold to really hot quickly.

Has she been to the doc? Has she been checked for a UTI? Anything different can cause sleeping reaction. What is different in her routine?. My mom slept for the better part of three days after a flu shot.
