My husband and I brought 2 family house with my parents in NJ. Father deceased never had the deed changed. We pay half mortgage with my mother. She lives downstairs and we live upstairs. We take care of her now but she is in rehab. Will be home soon because of medicare insurance . If she has to be put into a nursing home what will happen to the house that we still live in.Can we have it change now to just us I have Power of Attorney? Can not afford to buy her share out.
