Dad has a refund due from his nursing home after he was discharged & they say Medicaid/Medicare has to make their payments to the nursing home first.

He was paying his co-payment with his social security check. He was discharged on the 17th of July. They owe him for the days he wasn't there. I understand that they have to wait for payment. Does anyone know when Medicaid/Medicare issues payments for claims for the previous month? They just tell us they haven't been paid yet.

Mom had a refund coming from three different nursing homes when I took her out and moved her back in with me because they were neglecting her. All three of them said they do NOT issue refunds. They ALL kept her co-pay which she was paying with her SS check. I'm betting your dad won't get a penny back from them. They are all thieves.
