I just recently watched a poignant documentary, “After Life” that is available online and on Hulu. I think many caregivers and those receiving care could resonate with it.
https://www.pbs.org/independentlens/documentaries/life-after/From the website:"Disabled filmmaker Reid Davenport investigates assisted dying and uncovers how ableism, policy, and systemic failures can make death seem like the only option. With gripping stories and a personal mission, Life After explores who gets real choice, and who doesn’t, in life and death."

I don’t know about the real choice part as each and every decision has ramifications and life is a series of forks in the road each with its unknown consequences. I thought your post would have received more comments.
