God bless you for being so good! Our FB local group ( maybe your "local postings section" ) often has people looking to rehome pets due to a move, or a death in the family. Many of the dogs are older, but still looking for love and a good home!

You would have better luck posting something like this on Facebook. Contact facilities, give them your contact info. There are families that frequently need to find a home for a pet because of health reasons or move to a facility.

You will, no doubt find them at shelters in your area. People relinquish pets every day for all sorts of reasons.
